J&D Kitchen Distributors was founded in 1982 by Jack Clugston, his wife the late Hilda Clugston, their son David, and daughter Julie (Clugston) Fiery, as a wholesale distributor with a retail showroom. Since then, this family company has thrived and grown as a result of superior service and selection, and more importantly, a uniquely progressive approach to kitchen and bath design for new homes and remodeling projects.

Today, the company is being run by David, utilizing the values and knowledge he gained by working along side his father and mother. The transition in company leadership has allowed Jack to take a well deserved and more relaxed roll in the daily operations of the company. He spends his time today doing the one thing that he has always enjoyed, working with clients designing the kitchens and baths of their dreams. Though the leadership has changed, the values and ideals that have guided J&D over the years has not. We still strive to offer our clients the best possible products, services, and knowledge in our industry. This is done by offering competitive valued added products and services to our retail remodeling clients, wholesale prices to builders, remodeling contractors, and small retailers, quality installation services, and uncompromising customer service.

Professional In-House Design and Full-Service Installation & Remodeling

When J&D began operations in 1982, the strategic part of our business was the wholesale distribution part of our operation. Even though we operated a small retail showroom in Martinsburg, WV it was a less significant portion of our business at that time. In the course of 25 years, the kitchen and bath industry and J&D has adapted, changed, and evolved. Today, J&D Kitchens offers full-service kitchen and bathroom remodeling products and services - from professional in-house design, installation by highly-experienced technicians, and a large modern retail showroom centrally located in Hagerstown, MD.

J&D's Installation Coordination Team provides a seamless approach to any kitchen, bath, or other room remodeling project by helping with scheduling, troubleshooting, and subcontracting needs including plumbers, electricians, and local flooring contractors. Our installation technicians will handle the demolition, debris removal, reconstruction of existing walls, floors, and ceilings, drywall repair, and installation of cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and fixtures. This dependable service is available throughout the four-state area (Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia

and West Virginia).
